Katie Winbauer
Katie Winbauer is a law student at the University of North Dakota. She was first elected president during the 2017-2018 school year while finishing her degree from Valley City State University in professional communications with an emphasis in journalism.

Katie was the editor of The Mystician, Bismarck State College's campus newsmagazine in 2015-2016. She was selected as the 2016 News Fellow by the North Dakota Newspaper Association.

Katie is a supporter and advocate for the John Wall New Voices Act. She was a speaker at the March for Our Lives - Bismarck event and a panelist speaker at Town Hall/Road to Change - Bismarck in 2018.

Katie writes a monthly column for The Bismarck Tribune. She is President of the International Human Rights Association and the Helen Hamilton Day Coordinator for Law Women's Caucus at UND. Katie also is a member of the North Dakota Law Review.
